MY HUSBAND a.k.a THE "SURFER"

Since this isn't just MY blog, I feel like I've been focusing too much on myself...even though Brett probably will NEVER write anything here (Ladies, when will our husbands finally figure out that blogging isn't just a girl thing?). Therefore, I would like you to know some things that I've come to love about my husband and what my husband loves the most -- you'll be suprised to find out it isn't ME! Just kidding...I think.... Let's see, when we started dating, we went surfing ALL the time. For the first week, during Spring break, he took me surfing everyday! Then he tried to impress me by taking me to Cholos, where he witness my remarkable capacity to scarf down everything ordered (I think it was the chicken chimichanga plate). I loved that even though he got stabbed in the shoulder by some kook's board on the very first day we surfed together, he still wanted to wait on the beach for HOURS, until I was ready to go home.

Brett has and always will love the ocean. I think he just says he loves me the most but whenever I ask him what his 3 favorite things are in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD he lists them in this order: Surfing, Traveling, and then Me. He made an oath that we will never live too far from the ocean by giving me two options, either Hawaii or California. No problem for me!

I've always been facinated at Brett's talent as a surfer. Even though I can be his worst critic, I truely do admire his ability to blend in with the ocean and ride waves the way I wish I could. The one of many things I look forward to is watching Brett teach our son this great hobby. I'll be frank, there's a love-hate relationship between us when it comes to surfing. Since we both love to surf, we constantly argue who gets to surf first or who's day it is to surf. At the same time, we love the fact that we both surf -- ironic?

I thought to put some photos of the "surfer" on here. Just a little side trivia, I didn't photograph Brett in these shots (though I wish I could claim the credit!). Brett was surfing Gas Chambers/Rocky Point and this random guy was taking pictures of the surfers that day. I'm really glad Brett got them because they're pretty cool.
