Take Me Out To The Ball Game Mommy!

The day couldn't have ended better because we got to go to an Angels Game! About 1pm, I answered the door and it was the neighbor across the street, Bill, who was so kind to drop off 4 tickets to the baseball game tonight. So, Mom, Dad, Brett, Scotty, and I took the free tickets and headed down to the stadium. It was my first time ever going to a professional baseball game and Scotty's SECOND! And get this ~ this weekend he's going to Disneyland for the THIRD time within the last five months...SPOILED! When we arrived at the game, I was

blown away at how many Angels fans there are. It is even more amazing that people spend so much money on season tickets (about 20-30 G's). Of course, those people ususally go in with a few others and split the cost but it still is alot of money to someone like me! Just so you know, I hate it when Brett watches game after game after game on T.V., whether it is baseball or basketball.... I don't even like watching sports period! That may come as a shock because my whole family loves watching sports. Yet, when I watch it LIVE I really enjoy it. I don't "get" baseball more than half the time so I'm

constantly asking Brett "what just happened?".

Luckily, my husband is patient, more than half the time, with explaining a certain play or call.

Tonight, I guess the ump made a bogus call

(fans would probably call it worse) and the fans

were furious ~ he called Reggie Willits out when he should've been safe. Don't ask me about details because I'm clueless. Just how clueless am I? Ok, I'm watching the ump and in my head I'm thinking "man that ump is really buff. He looks so strong...." Then while I'm telling my husband this, suddenly I realize that it's padding NOT bulging muscles under his shirt (for protection against 90 mile an hour pitches). And that folks, is how clueless I am about

baseball. My little Rally Monkey loved watching the Angels beat the Toronto Blue Jays. Although, he probably loved eating french fries, pizza, peanuts and a chocolate milkshake even more! We were all impressed with Scotty for being a good sport for 4 hours. I think we may have another Angels fan to add to the Meyer fan club! Some of Scotty's favorite things at the game was:

1. The fireworks everytime the Angels hit a homerun.

2. The waterfall on the opposite side of the stadium.

3. The Rally Monkey!

4. Clapping when everyone else clapped.

5. The cuisine (mentioned above).

6. Cheering for Willits when he got called out.

Line said...: Oh, fun! Saia watches every single sport, too. If he didn't tell me that soccer is his favorite to watch, I would never know what his fave is because he watches everything sooo much. Here's a list of 101 things I want to do before I turn 28.

1. Do a temple session once a week for a month.
2. Buy a temple dress.
3. Go on a "real" camping trip in the mountains.
4. Enroll in masters program (speech pathology or teaching?).
5. Send birthday cards on time to family.
6. Get Scotty potty trained.
7. Go on a surf trip with Brett and Scotty and Matai.
8. Do volunteer work for at least 20 hours.
9. Get Brett and I Life Insurance policies.
10. Learn to make a VERY delicious dinner.
11. Teach Scotty to swim or at least to float.

17. Do a family photo shoot of Brett, Scotty, Matai, and I.

19. Re-learn the hula dance Maunaleo.
20. Build a little vegetable garden.
21. Make three 72 hour emergency kits.
22. Learn different ways to purify water.
23. Learn how to shoot a gun/shotgun.
24. Read the BOM/D&C/Pearl.
25. Have family home evening every monday for a month.
26. Get my geneology done on my Dad's side.
27. Date night once a week for a month with Brett.
28. Read 2 books each month for 4 months.
29. Pay my tithing on time.
30. Buy Scotty 10 new books.
31. Do 100 push ups every day for a month.
32. Go to a spa and get a massage.
33. Get a pedicure.
34. Learn to play 2 hymns on the piano.
35. Blog everyday for a month.
36. Bear my testimony in Church.
37. Don't argue with Brett for a month.
38. Buy a better camera.
39. Buy a dress.
40. Make a little book of poetry.
41. Do some kind of creative writing everyday for a month.
42. Learn to do basic sewing and make a shirt.
43. Learn how to use the Excel program.
44. Get annual Disneyland passes (Matai's free!).

47. Save money for a down payment on a reasonable house.
