Night Out in Huntington Beach
After a magical day at Disneyland, the cousins went to Newport Beach on Saturday to relax and enjoy the California sun. After they returned to the house, they took a quick snooze only to return to the beach two hours later. Grandma Alice decided she wanted good mexican food at her favorite mexican restaurant in Huntington. So we went down to Huntington Beach and played a few matches of beach volleyball just before the sun set. We had fun joking and laughing at the expense of those who ate sand in a sad effort to keep the ball in play. The waves were small but definetly rideable and I told my husband that this is where I want to go for my first surf sesh since we've been here. Being there brought back alot of fun memories for Brett because he practically lived at this beach during his senior year at HB High while on the surf team. He hadn't been there for over 5 years, I think.
After the sun set, we headed down about a mile to eat. When we parked, I noticed that Scotty needed a diaper change badly. Well, I'm sure those of you with baby boys can imagine what happened next...Scotty started making neat little rainbows with his pee. I think he stoped and started about 4 times and poor daddy got a big wet spot on his shorts. Scotty always knows how to liven up the party. Anyhow, we ate good mexican food and the guys working there were super cool. Here are some pictures of that night out in town.
